Oklahoma City renews EMSA trust 2011

Oklahoma City Council overwhelmingly votes in favor of renewing EMSA

OKLAHOMA CITY (October 18, 2011) -- “On behalf of the hundreds of Oklahoma City-area EMSA employees, we are pleased by the overwhelmingly positive vote of confidence the Oklahoma City Council has shown by renewing the EMSA trust agreement. EMSA has provided high-quality emergency medical services in an exceptionally cost-efficient manner for more than 33 years. The system design has worked very well for Oklahomans and will continue to do so in the future,” says Stephen Williamson, EMSA president and chief executive officer.

“We have excellent, independent medical oversight by Dr. Jeffrey Goodloe and the Medical Control Board, the support of the medical community and a team of paramedics and first responders who work very well together.

“We could not do this without the men and women who work so diligently and professionally every day to care for our patients when they need it the most. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve them and all of Oklahoma City. Thank you to our employees, our board of trustees, the Oklahoma City Council and the City of Oklahoma City’s leadership for your support over the years.”
