EMSA collecting H.U.G.S. for donation this winter
TULSA, Okla. - EMTs and paramedics with the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA) eastern division will man ambulances at various locations throughout EMSA's service area to collect new hats, underwear, gloves and socks (H.U.G.S.) for donation to adults, teens and children in need this winter.
"As a paramedic we know the toll extreme temperatures can take on the body, and want to do what we can to help keep everyone warm this winter especially those without consistent, comfortable housing," said Brianne Smedley, one of the EMSA EMTs organizing the drive.
